Description:
''Entre Lo Habitual y Lo Desconocido'' (2007) which translated into English means Between the usual and the uknown is the debut album made by chilean MC Hordatoj also known as J-dro (J-dro pronunced backwards in spanish is spelled ordatoj) that mixes a lot of deep rhymes, lyrical versatility and Hip Hop with some R&B, jazz and soul influences, At a time when Chilean rap was often defined by rigid, aggressive boom-bap
Alongside the tracklist there is a great portion of the tracks that are collaborations with other known artists in the Chilean underground Hip Hop scene, such as Panthy, Urbe, Epicentro, Senciyo and some more known like Portavoz and Ana tijoux.
Hordatoj has famously recounted that he recorded the material in his bedroom, using a microphone literally "wired to the edge of a bunk bed." Despite these constraints, the quality of the production caught the attention of Nicolás Carrasco (Foex), a key figure in the Chilean scene, who signed him to the newly formed label Potoco Discos.
