Haven claims that the motion picture company did not like the fact that she was an x-rated star and awarded Griffith the part, although it's unconfirmed. Director Brian De Palma said before casting, "I don't know if there's any good fresh porno stars out here, but the older ones - Annette Haven, Seka - some of them can really act. And Annette Haven has a terrific body." The film went on to not so rave reviews, with only Griffith receiving awards for her work in the film. Annette was retained as a consultant on the film.
