That coffee would be woefully under extracted, you should pour in a circular motion and allow for the initial bloom, then fill slowly and let stand for 2-3 minutes...When using a French Press it is much easier to over-extract the grounds as the water is in constant contact with the hot water so it is important to serve immediately. Also it is recommended to grind course and never pour out all the water used to brew so as to avoid grounds in the coffee.
